Job Description

This is a really great job with a superb company who own a network of 37 operations centres, employing over 900 staff, providing roadside services, warranties and travel insurance services.

An experienced Travel Claims Manager is required to manage relationships with clients and suppliers and work closely with the Head of Travel Operations to pro-actively manage the department.

The ideal candidate will be innovative and able to introduce new ways of working, having experience of leading and being the focal point of projects, using strong communication and interpersonal skills to develop performance. Experience in managing budgets, departmental planning and resource management are also essential.

You need to be a determined, focused individual who is not afraid of making sensitive decisions, having an operational outlook. You'll want to be committed to a long term career with succession planning into a more senior role. This exciting opportunity may involve travel abroad as part of Company initiatives to share knowledge, attend conferences and group meetings.

It is absolutely essential that you have a very strong claims background, ideally travel claims. You need to already be in a management role, running a department and be adept at dealing with enquiries and difficult situations.

You will be working alongside 1 Service Delivery Manager and 2 Team Managers who each take care of 15-20 Claim Handlers, so this is a big role in a big department. Other duties include:

· Developing business strategies and monitoring business volumes
· Assisting with budget planning to identify opportunities, reduce costs and optimise revenues
· Forecasting and planning staffing resources
· Conducting counselling and disciplinaries
· Maintaining personnel records, organising training and development for your team
· Handling high value technical claim enquiries

The generous salary package includes:

· 35 hour week, Monday to Friday
· 38K basic salary plus bonus of 5K
